3. Website Information
We take reasonable care to keep information on the website accurate and up to date.
However, information may change.
This can include:
- event dates;
- event times;
- football fixtures;
- kick-off times;
- bar opening information;
- prices;
- membership information;
- availability;
- performers;
- Club activities; and
- other operational information.
Visitors should check the latest information before travelling or making arrangements.
4. Opening Information
Blues Bar does not necessarily operate fixed opening hours every day.
Opening may depend on:
- football fixtures;
- Club activities;
- televised sport;
- events;
- private functions where approved;
- staffing;
- operational requirements; or
- other circumstances.
The latest published opening information should be checked before travelling.
A football fixture taking place at Compton Park does not automatically mean Blues Bar is open.
5. Football Fixtures
Football fixture information may be provided using information from The FA Full-Time or other official football sources.
Fixtures and kick-off times may change.
The Club will take reasonable steps to display current information, but the relevant competition or official football source remains the appropriate source for confirmed fixture information.
6. What's On and Events
Event information published on the website may include:
- date;
- time;
- admission arrangements;
- prices;
- age guidance;
- availability;
- performers;
- booking links; and
- other event-specific information.
Where an event requires a booking or ticket, the applicable Event Booking Terms also apply.
Event information may be updated where circumstances change.
7. Event Admission
Information appearing on the website does not itself override the admission or licensing arrangements applicable to an event.
Depending on the event, admission may be:
- for Club members and bona fide guests;
- by invitation;
- subject to a private booking; or
- available more widely under an appropriate event/licensing authorisation.
The event listing and applicable booking conditions should be checked.
8. Membership Information
The website may allow people to apply for membership.
Submitting an application or paying a membership fee does not automatically create Club membership.
Membership remains subject to the applicable waiting period, Club approval and activation process.
Full information is provided in the Membership Terms.
9. Membership Accounts and References
Where the website provides membership references, digital membership cards, QR identifiers or other verification tools, they must be used responsibly.
Users must not deliberately:
- impersonate another member;
- share credentials for fraudulent use;
- manipulate membership status;
- attempt to create false membership records; or
- interfere with membership verification.
10. Guest Sign-In
The website may provide a digital Guest Sign-In service for visitors attending Blues Bar.
Information supplied through Guest Sign-In must be accurate.
A person must not knowingly:
- register under a false identity;
- identify a person as their host who is not genuinely hosting them;
- misuse another member's details or QR credential; or
- interfere with guest records.
Guest registration does not create Club membership.
11. Private Hire
Private Hire information may be added to or removed from the website according to Club decisions.
Private Hire is currently subject to internal Club approval and may therefore remain hidden or unavailable.
The presence of draft Private Hire functionality within the website administration system does not mean the service has been publicly launched or approved.
If Private Hire is subsequently enabled, separate Private Hire Terms will apply.
12. Online Forms
Users must provide information that is accurate to the best of their knowledge when completing website forms.
This includes forms relating to:
- membership;
- guests;
- events;
- enquiries;
- private hire where available;
- contact; or
- other Club services.
Users should not deliberately submit false, abusive, fraudulent or misleading information.
13. Payments
Where the website accepts online payments, payments may be processed through an approved third-party payment provider.
Payment processing may be subject to the provider's own terms and privacy arrangements.
Full payment-card details do not need to be stored within the Club's website administration system.
Payment does not override separate Club approval or admission requirements.
14. Refunds
Refund arrangements depend on the nature of the transaction.
The Club's Refunds & Cancellations Policy applies where relevant.
Where an external provider processes a ticket or payment, that provider's applicable arrangements may also apply.
15. External Ticketing Services
Some events may use an external ticketing service.
A link from the Blues Bar website to an external ticket provider does not mean the external website is operated by Cogenhoe United Football Club.
Users should review the provider's terms, privacy information and charges before completing a transaction.
16. External Websites
The website may contain links to other websites or services, including:
- The FA;
- football competitions;
- maps/directions;
- social media;
- ticket providers;
- payment providers;
- suppliers; or
- other relevant organisations.
External websites are responsible for their own content, availability, terms and privacy practices.
A link does not necessarily constitute endorsement of everything appearing on the external website.
17. Social Media
The Club may operate or link to social-media accounts.
Information published on social media may be used to provide timely updates, but important booking or membership arrangements remain subject to the relevant Club terms and records.
Users should not assume that a comment or informal social-media message changes a confirmed booking, membership status or Club decision.
18. User Conduct
Users must not misuse the website.
In particular, users must not knowingly:
- attempt unauthorised access;
- interfere with website security;
- introduce malicious code;
- scrape or extract protected personal information;
- attempt to access another person's account or record;
- submit fraudulent applications;
- misuse payment functionality;
- impersonate Club personnel;
- interfere with administrative systems; or
- use the website for unlawful purposes.
19. Administrator Area
The Club Administration area is restricted to authorised users.
Administrator accounts are personal to the authorised administrator and should not be shared.
Administrators must use only the access and permissions appropriate to their role.
Administrative actions may be recorded in an audit log.
20. Administrator Security
Administrators are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect their account.
This includes:
- protecting passwords or activation credentials;
- signing out from shared devices;
- not sharing administrator access;
- reporting suspected compromise; and
- using Club systems only for authorised purposes.
The Club may suspend administrative access where reasonably necessary to protect security.
21. Club iPad and Shared Devices
Where a Club-owned iPad or other shared device is used for Guest Sign-In or another public-facing function, it must not provide unauthorised access to the Club Administration system.
Personal information from a previous user should not remain visible to the next user.
22. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website content created for Cogenhoe United Football Club or Blues Bar, including original text, graphics and branding, may be protected by intellectual-property rights.
Users may view and share ordinary public website links for personal and legitimate purposes.
Website content must not be copied, republished or commercially exploited in a way that infringes applicable rights.
23. Cogenhoe United Branding
Club names, logos, badges and branding must not be used in a way that falsely suggests:
- Club approval;
- sponsorship;
- partnership;
- official endorsement; or
- authority to act on behalf of the Club.
24. Third-Party Material
Some website content may belong to third parties.
Examples may include:
- FA information;
- event artwork;
- performer photographs;
- sponsor logos;
- embedded services; and
- externally supplied images.
Such material remains subject to the rights of the relevant owner.
25. Photographs
Photographs displayed on the website must be used appropriately.
Particular care should be taken where images show children or young people.
Anyone with a legitimate concern about an image published on the website may contact the Club.
Safeguarding concerns should be handled through the Club's safeguarding arrangements.
26. Availability of the Website
We aim to keep the website available, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
The website may occasionally be unavailable because of:
- maintenance;
- technical problems;
- hosting issues;
- security incidents;
- upgrades; or
- circumstances outside the Club's reasonable control.
27. Changes to the Website
The Club may change, add, remove, hide or update website content and services.
This includes pages, events, features, membership information and other functionality.
Draft or disabled functionality does not constitute a commitment by the Club to launch that service.
28. Accuracy and Reliance
The website provides information about the Club and its activities.
Users should not rely on website information as professional legal, financial, medical or other specialist advice.
Where formal confirmation is important, users should contact the Club or appropriate organisation.
29. Club Governance
Nothing on this website overrides the formally adopted:
- Constitution;
- Club Rules;
- safeguarding policies;
- licensing conditions;
- health and safety arrangements;
- fire-safety arrangements; or
- other properly adopted Club policies.
Where website wording conflicts with a formally adopted Club document, the Club should investigate and correct the website.
30. Licensing
Information about Blues Bar, events or activities on the website does not itself grant licensing permission.
All licensable activities remain subject to the authorisation applying to the premises or particular event.
The Club may alter, restrict or cancel an activity where necessary to comply with licensing requirements.
31. Safeguarding
Use of the website and attendance at Club activities remain subject to appropriate safeguarding requirements.
Safeguarding concerns should be reported in accordance with the Club's Safeguarding information.
32. Privacy
Personal information collected through the website will be handled in accordance with the Club's Privacy Notice.
Users should review the Privacy Notice where they provide personal information through the website.
33. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Information about cookies, essential website storage and third-party services is provided in the Cookie & Storage Notice.
The Cookie & Storage Notice should reflect the technologies actually used by the website.
34. Accessibility
The Club aims to make its website reasonably accessible.
Information about website accessibility and contacting the Club regarding access requirements is provided on the Accessibility page.
35. Liability
Nothing in these Website Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Subject to applicable law, the Club is not responsible for losses arising solely from:
- temporary website unavailability;
- reasonable reliance on clearly provisional information;
- third-party website failures;
- changes made by external football/event providers; or
- misuse of the website by a user.
This does not affect rights or liabilities which cannot legally be excluded.
36. Viruses and Security
Although reasonable steps may be taken to maintain website security, no online service can be guaranteed to be completely free from malicious software or security threats.
Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate security on their own devices.
Suspected website-security issues should be reported to the Club.
37. Changes to These Terms
These Website Terms may be updated where necessary because of changes to:
- website functionality;
- Club operations;
- membership;
- events;
- payment services;
- legislation;
- licensing;
- security; or
- other relevant circumstances.
The current version and review date should be published on the website.
38. Applicable Law
These Website Terms are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory rights or protections available under applicable law.
