Members, Guests & Matchday Visitors

The Blues Bar is part of Cogenhoe United Football Club and operates as a members’ club. Members may bring guests in accordance with club rules, and visiting football teams and their supporters remain very welcome.

Visiting for a football match?

Players, coaches, officials, parents and supporters attending Cogenhoe United FC as part of an organised fixture are welcomed as guests of the club for that fixture.

You do not need annual Blues Bar membership merely to attend the away fixture, accompany a child playing against Cogenhoe, visit the Sports Bar during that fixture or purchase refreshments while attending.

Matchday visitorGuest of the club for the relevant organised fixture.

How membership works

01

Choose & apply

Choose £5 Club-Associated Family or £10 Community Family membership. Both cover up to two adults at the same address and their dependent children under 18.

02

Pay securely

Complete the one-off payment using Stripe. Payment is recorded but never automatically approves membership.

03

Wait & verify

Every application remains pending for at least 48 hours. A claimed Club connection for the £5 rate must also be verified.

04

Authorised decision

An authorised administrator reviews the paid application. If approved, membership activates for 12 months from that date.

Applying for an upcoming event?

Please apply early.

New memberships cannot become active immediately. A minimum 48-hour waiting period and authorised approval both apply before activation.

Membership questions

Good to know.

Why do I need Blues Bar membership?

Membership gives you ongoing membership of the Blues Bar and access to the benefits, events and booking arrangements available to members.

Do I have to be a member just to enter the Blues Bar?

Not necessarily. Members may bring guests in accordance with club rules, while visiting football teams and their supporters are welcomed as guests for their organised fixture.

I am visiting with an away team. Do I need membership?

No. Visiting players, coaches, officials, parents and supporters are guests of the club while attending their organised fixture.

Can I return another weekend because I visited for a match?

Your matchday visit does not create ongoing membership. If you would like to use the Blues Bar regularly, you can apply for annual membership.

Can anybody book Blues Bar events?

It depends on the event. Each listing states whether it is Members Only, Members + Member Guests, Members + Event Guests, Football / Matchday Guest, or operated under separate authorisation. Event Guest admission is valid only for the named event and does not create membership.

Does membership guarantee tickets?

No. Membership provides eligibility for relevant member bookings and benefits, but capacity is limited and events may sell out.

How long does activation take?

Every new application is subject to approval and a minimum 48-hour waiting period.

Does payment guarantee membership?

No. If an application is rejected, the fee is refunded in accordance with the membership terms and refund policy.

How long does membership last?

Membership lasts for 12 months from activation. Renewing members retain their existing membership number.
